Silver Ratio wins the 28th Japan Dirt Classic at Ohi Racecourse
Silver Ratio won the 28th Japan Dirt Classic (Jpn1) at Ohi Racecourse, finishing with a time of 2:04.0. Ridden by Takeshi Yokoyama, the second favorite secured priority entry for the JBC Classic to be held in Kanazawa this November.
Wonder Dean, ridden by Kohei Matsuyama, took second place, while Cherivent, ridden by Seinosuke Yoshimura, finished third. The JRA-affiliated horses occupied all three podium positions. The race favorite, Itterai Sha, finished last in 16th place.
Christophe Lemaire, riding the fourth favorite Pyromancer, finished fifth. Lemaire noted that while the horse had a smooth race, the 2000-meter distance proved slightly long and the response weakened after the third corner.
