Silver Strikers and Blue Eagles lead FDH Bank Premiership

Silver Strikers and Blue Eagles have moved to the top of the FDH Bank Premiership standings following Saturday's results. Silver Strikers secured the summit after a 1-0 victory over Creck Sporting Club at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe, courtesy of a goal by Nickson Mwase.

Meanwhile, Mighty Wanderers lost their hold on first place after being held to a 1-1 draw by Moyale Barracks FC at Mzuzu Stadium. Wanderers took an early lead in the seventh minute through Gaddie Chirwa, but Moyale equalized in the 85th minute via a long-range strike from Lucky Mkandawire. The match ended in drama when Moyale defender George Nyirenda received a straight red card in the 87th minute, leaving his side to finish with ten men.

Following these developments, Silver Strikers and Blue Eagles are tied at the top with 25 points, while Wanderers have dropped to third place with 23 points from 12 games.
