Silverado hotel-casino proposed south of Las Vegas Strip

Ochoa Development Corp. has proposed a new hotel-casino project named Silverado, located in Enterprise, approximately five miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. The development is planned for the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Richmar Avenue on a 13.5-acre site.

The project is designed to be completed in two phases. The first phase includes a 300-room hotel, a 57,000-square-foot casino, entertainment spaces, conference facilities, and food-and-beverage outlets. The second phase would add an additional 150 rooms. The site will feature two six-story hotel buildings and a five-level parking garage.

Clark County commissioners are scheduled to consider the proposal on September 2. The developer, led by Michael Ochoa, is a local real estate firm without a prior background in the casino industry. The proposed location is situated near the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa and is close to both Harry Reid International Airport and Henderson Executive Airport.
