Silvercrest kitchen machine performs competitively against KitchenAid

A test by IMTEST has revealed that the Silvercrest SKM 600 F1, an entry-level kitchen machine sold at Lidl for under 60 euros, performs nearly as well as much more expensive KitchenAid models.

The Silvercrest model features a 600-watt motor, a 5-liter mixing bowl, eight speed settings, and includes basic attachments such as a whisk, a dough hook, and a beater. While it lacks the extensive accessory range of premium brands, it proved capable of handling various tasks including cake batter, cream, and heavy bread dough.

In terms of usability, the device features a bayonet closure for tools and an automatic motor stop function if the mixing arm is raised during operation. Despite its lower price point, the machine achieved a total score comparable to high-end competitors in baking performance, noise levels, and power consumption.
