Silverlake Conservatory of Music announces 25th anniversary benefit concert

The Silverlake Conservatory of Music will host a benefit concert at the Hollywood Palladium on October 17 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The all-star lineup includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Grohl, and Vince Staples, with comedian Marc Maron serving as host.

Co-founded in 2001 by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Michael ‘Flea’ Balzary, Keith ‘Tree’ Barry, and Peter Weiss, the nonprofit school was established to address cuts in arts education within Los Angeles public schools. The conservatory currently provides music lessons to over 900 students weekly, with a scholarship program supporting more than 200 students by covering the costs of instruction, instruments, and supplies.

To mark its quarter-century milestone, the organization is expanding its annual fundraiser from a private benefit dinner to a public concert. The event aims to raise $1.5 million to sustain its music programming for the upcoming year. Ticket presales begin September 24, with general sales starting September 25 via Ticketmaster.
