Silversmith Juan Carlos Pallarols crafts works for the Pope and Lionel Messi

Argentine silversmith Juan Carlos Pallarols, renowned for crafting presidential ceremonial staffs, is working on two significant commemorative pieces.

Pallarols is currently crafting the ‘Chalice of Peace’ for the Pope’s upcoming visit. The sacred object is being fashioned by melting down shell casings collected from various wars around the world. It will also feature a sustainable artificial diamond made of pure carbon donated from the Santa Fe province. The chalice has traveled through various Argentine cities to allow citizens to leave their mark and sign an accompanying book.

Additionally, Pallarols revealed that he was commissioned by Antonela Roccuzzo to create a unique silver piece dedicated to Lionel Messi. The artwork, designed as an intimate family tribute, incorporates six enamel photographs depicting key moments in Messi’s career, ranging from his early World Cup appearances to the 2022 victory in Qatar.
