Silvi avoids school double shifts with temporary classrooms
The municipality of Silvi has secured a solution to prevent double shifts for primary school students in Silvi Paese. Starting September 10, lessons will proceed normally using five equipped classrooms at the Consorzio UP Training Center in Piane Maglierici.
Municipal workers are currently preparing the spaces with necessary educational equipment. This arrangement serves as a temporary measure while the Civil Protection agency works to install and test “Jolly” prefabricated modules, which are expected to be ready for use in five to six months.
Local officials, including Mayor Andrea Scordella and Vice Mayor Luciana Di Marco, credited the Abruzzo Region and the synergy between the municipality, school leadership, and the training center for resolving the issue. Additionally, the Girotondo and Girotondino nursery schools are scheduled to reopen on September 16.
