Silvi: Provincial Road 29/B reopens after landslide alarm
Provincial Road 29/B in the municipality of Silvi has been reopened to traffic following a precautionary closure due to landslide risks. The decision came after joint inspections by technicians from the Municipality, the Province of Teramo, and Civil Protection.
The road had been closed after monitoring sensors, managed by Civil Protection, detected potential risks exacerbated by recent severe weather. However, sensors returned to safe levels on the previous evening, prompting the onsite verification that led to the reopening.
Authorities will continue to monitor the area using the existing sensor network. Meanwhile, a legal process is underway as a judge is expected to rule on a preventive technical assessment requested by a private citizen who suffered damages. This assessment aims to determine the exact technical causes and contributing factors of the landslide.
