Silvia Bronchalo breaks silence on estrangement from son Daniel Sancho

Silvia Bronchalo, mother of Daniel Sancho, has revealed she has ceased contact with her son since April to protect her mental health. Speaking on the program ‘¡De Viernes!’, Bronchalo explained that she feels “deceived and manipulated” by her son, who is serving a life sentence in Thailand for the premeditated murder of Edwin Arrieta.

Bronchalo admitted to recording a controversial phone call in which Daniel requested 100,000 euros to attempt to secure provisional release. She expressed deep disappointment, stating, “I feel that my son does not love me,” and suggested his desperation to leave prison may be driving him to manipulate both her and his father, Rodolfo Sancho.

In response, Carmen Balfagón, spokesperson for the Sancho family, clarified that the legal team did not possess the recordings and therefore could not have prevented their leak. Balfagón noted that the family intends to take legal action regarding the leak, characterizing it as a “revelation of secrets.”
