Silvia Foglino Award opens 2026 nominations for female healthcare leadership

Applications are currently open for the 2026 Silvia Foglino Award, an initiative organized by the Community Donne Protagoniste in Sanità. The award, titled “Donne che aprono la strada” (Women who pave the way), aims to recognize and value the role of women within the healthcare and social systems.

The upcoming edition focuses on female leadership in health and equity. It seeks to highlight professional and human experiences that have contributed to building a more inclusive healthcare system based on merit and female expertise. The award is dedicated to the memory of Silvia Foglino and prioritizes measurable results and effective social change over public notoriety.

Candidates can be nominated by the National Coordinator or members of the Community. The winner will be announced on September 24 in Genoa during the community's annual convention.
