Silvia Intxaurrondo returns to RTVE's 'La hora de La 1

Journalist Silvia Intxaurrondo has returned to her role as the presenter of RTVE's morning program, 'La hora de La 1', following a hiatus that had fueled various rumors regarding her position at the public broadcaster.

During her first broadcast back, Intxaurrondo addressed current affairs, including the situation in Ceuta and a political controversy involving the Madrid regional government. She specifically commented on the purchase of a luxury apartment in Madrid's Chamberí district by Isabel Díaz Ayuso's administration, stating, “Que no se burlen de nosotros” (Let them not mock us), suggesting the official explanation for the purchase was insufficient.

Her return follows a period where she was replaced by Aida Bao and Álex Barreiro, and amid speculation regarding the future of the program's leadership following the departure of Javier Ruiz.
