Silvia Salis and Stefano Bonaccini speak at PD Villalunga rally

The Democratic Party held a large gathering in Villalunga, Reggio Emilia, featuring mayor of Genoa Silvia Salis and European Parliament member Stefano Bonaccini. The event, organized by deputy Andrea Rossi and attended by regional agriculture assessor Alessio Mammi, focused on national politics, security, and the centre‑left’s strategy ahead of the 2027 elections. Salis called for concrete answers to citizens’ needs, while Bonaccini urged unity to defeat the right‑wing government and outlined a slim programme centred on jobs, public health, the environment and public safety. He also suggested a “shock” tax measure to exempt young workers from taxes for their first 28‑30 years of employment. The rally attracted around six hundred volunteers and a packed audience, signalling strong local enthusiasm for the party’s upcoming campaign.
