Art exhibitions and urban initiatives launch across Latin America

Various cultural and artistic initiatives are being launched across Latin America. In Quito, Ecuador, the “Embelleciendo el Barrio con MINI” project has selected 10 artists to create large-scale murals across different sectors of the city, aiming to connect communities through urban art.

In Argentina, artist Silvina Apesteguía has inaugurated her exhibition “Sencillez, del campo a la ciudad” at the Galería de Arte El Palacio. The show features 14 new works, mostly autobiographical, reflecting her life from rural childhood to adulthood. Additionally, the Art Fair Paraná is continuing its program in Sala Mayo, featuring guided tours and performances to promote the local art market.

In Mexico, the Museo de Arqueología e Historia de El Chamizal (MAHCH) in Ciudad Juárez is hosting “Todos estamos rotos (pero volveremos a brillar),” a multidisciplinary exhibition by artist José Carlos Galicia (Tornagris). The collection uses poetry, drawings, and object art to explore human emotions and memory. Meanwhile, in Toluca, the First Mexiquense Biennial is showcasing over 80 contemporary works at the Museo Galería de Arte Mexiquense Torres Bicentenario, highlighting regional creative talent.
