Silvio Orlando recounts unexpected encounter with Marilyn Manson

Italian actor Silvio Orlando shared anecdotes regarding his career and notable encounters during a public event in Ischia as part of the PopCorn Stories festival.

Orlando recounted a surprising interaction with musician Marilyn Manson on the set of the series ‘The New Pope’. While Orlando, who played Cardinal Angelo Voiello, admitted he was not a fan and felt a sense of intimidation, the encounter took an unexpected turn. Although Orlando intended to ask for a photograph to show his grandchildren, Manson approached him first to request a selfie.

During the discussion with Peppe Lanzetta, Orlando also reflected on his professional relationship with Diane Keaton and his work with director Paolo Sorrentino.
