Silvio Ziliotti presents ‘Dayton Station’ in Milan

Italian author and professor Silvio Ziliotti presented his book, ‘Dayton Station’, at an event in Milan. The presentation was attended by various officials, including Silvia Roggiani from the Italian Parliament, Milan Deputy Mayor Anna Scavuzzo, Croatian Consul General Stjepan Ribić, and Arijana Džogović, the Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Milan.

The work uses the metaphor of a station to explore the consequences of the Dayton Agreement and the Bosnian War. Through poetry, Ziliotti examines themes of displacement, exile, nostalgia, and the search for peace. He describes the ‘Dayton Station’ as a mental projection of unfulfilled expectations and unexpected memories, representing a space through which millions of people affected by the peace accords have passed.

During the event, Arijana Džogović expressed gratitude to Ziliotti for his long-term commitment to Bosnian refugees and his literary contributions regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also thanked Anna Scavuzzo for her various projects and initiatives supporting the country.
