Silviu Balaure joins FC Argeș in Romanian SuperLiga

Silviu Balaure, a 30‑year‑old right‑winger, has signed with reigning Romanian champions FC Argeș ahead of the 2025‑2026 SuperLiga season. The move follows his departure from FC Hermannstadt, where he spent five seasons and helped the club return to the top flight after a brief spell in Liga 2.

Balaure brings over 200 appearances in Romania’s top division, scoring 27 league goals and adding numerous assists. He began his career in Drobeta‑Turnu Severin, progressed through clubs such as Astra Giurgiu—where he won the Romanian Supercup and reached three Cup finals—and later became a key player for Hermannstadt. FC Argeș announced the transfer, highlighting his experience in domestic and European competitions and his versatility on both flanks. The signing is expected to strengthen the club’s attacking options for the upcoming campaign.
