SIM Global Education emphasizes accessibility in university selection
SIM Global Education (SIM GE) is encouraging students and families to prioritize accessibility support when evaluating higher education options. Beyond physical infrastructure, accessibility includes how students engage with learning, participate in assessments, navigate campuses, and communicate individual requirements.
In alignment with Singapore’s Enabling Masterplan 2030 (EMP2030), which aims to create a more inclusive society by increasing lifelong learning opportunities for persons with disabilities, SIM GE suggests that students raise their needs before beginning their studies. Early engagement with the institution’s Student Development team can help explore services even if formal documentation is not yet available.
SIM GE notes that while they work with partners to reduce academic and non-academic barriers, specific access arrangements depend on the university associated with a student’s particular programme.
