Simaria Mendes discusses return to music after four-year hiatus
Brazilian singer Simaria Mendes has discussed her return to the music industry following a four-year hiatus. During an appearance on the program ‘Viver Sertanejo’, she described the break as a necessary period of healing and time to care for her two children, Giovanna and Pawel.
Simaria noted that her children were the primary motivation for her professional comeback. She revealed that she had been working in the industry since age 7 and became a professional at 14, but felt exhausted after years of continuous work. Although she stepped away from live performances, she continued to compose and produce music in the studio during her time away.
Her return to the stage was marked by a performance in São Paulo, where she recorded her first solo career DVD, signaling a new chapter following the end of her musical duo with her sister, Simone Mendes.
