Simi Garewal honors Rakesh Roshan and their 1971 film ‘Seema’

Veteran actress Simi Garewal celebrated the birthday of filmmaker and actor Rakesh Roshan by reminiscing about their 1971 film, ‘Seema’. In a social media post, Garewal noted that the film brought the two collaborators together and highlighted their enduring friendship over the past 55 years.

Directed by Surendra Mohan, ‘Seema’ is remembered for its musical score by Shankar-Jaikishan, including the song ‘Jab Bhi Yeh Dil Udaas Hota Hai’ with lyrics by Gulzar. While the film had limited commercial success at the time, it featured a notable cast including Kabir Bedi and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. Rakesh Roshan, who transitioned from acting in films like ‘Khubsoorat’ to a successful directing career with hits such as ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Krrish’, expressed his gratitude for the tribute.
