SimiPet Care opens first veterinary clinical laboratory in Mexico

SimiPet Care, a division of Grupo Por Un País Mejor, has launched its first veterinary clinical laboratory in southern Mexico City. The facility aims to provide advanced diagnostic services, including X-rays, blood chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis, to support the company’s network of veterinary clinics.

The laboratory is designed to process approximately 300 samples daily, with the capacity to analyze up to 100 samples simultaneously. Utilizing specialized biochemistry equipment, the facility can deliver key test results in roughly 30 minutes. Samples are collected at 43 veterinary offices across Mexico City and the metropolitan area and transported to the central processing site.

This expansion targets Mexico’s significant pet care market, which includes an estimated 80 million companion animals. Following the consolidation of this phase in the capital, SimiPet Care plans to expand its laboratory services to other states in the country.
