Simon Russell Beale shares positive health update after cancer diagnosis

British actor Sir Simon Russell Beale, known for his role as Ser Simon Strong in ‘House of the Dragon’, has shared positive health updates following a battle with colorectal cancer. The 65-year-old actor reported that his most recent hospital scan showed no remaining signs of the disease.

Beale was diagnosed last year after doctors discovered a blockage in an intestinal vein. His treatment included intensive chemotherapy. During his illness, he was forced to withdraw from a production of ‘Titus Andronicus’, with actor John Hodgkinson stepping in to take the role.

The actor is gradually returning to the stage. After participating in a Shakespearean production where he could remain seated, he is currently performing the role of Liberace in the show ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ in Scotland. While optimistic about his recent scans, Beale remains mindful of his ongoing health journey.
