Simon Taylor launches podcast satire ‘The Sonny Disposition’ on Stan
Comedian Simon Taylor has released a new sitcom titled ‘The Sonny Disposition’ on Stan. Created alongside Josh Samuels, the series serves as a satire of the chaotic and ego-driven podcasting industry.
Taylor, who previously worked as a writer for ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ and was the first Australian stand-up to perform on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, developed the concept as a response to the saturation of the podcasting medium. He noted that the show explores the ‘Wild West’ nature of podcasting, where hosts often operate without the ethical guidelines required of traditional journalists to chase ratings and algorithms.
