Simona Aebersold wins orienteering middle distance World Cup in Czech Republic

Simona Aebersold secured a victory in the middle distance orienteering event at the World Cup in Vyšší Brod, Czech Republic. This win follows her recent victory in the long-distance event held two days prior.

Aebersold finished with a significant lead of 2:07 minutes over France's Cécile Calandry, who took second place. Czech athlete Lucie Dittrichová finished third. Following this performance, Aebersold has extended her lead in the overall World Cup standings to 114 points over Norway's Pia Young Vik.
