Simona Mohamsson, leader of the Swedish Liberal Party (Liberalerna), has been credited with leading the party back above the parliamentary threshold following a period of significant instability. When Mohamsson took leadership in June 2025, the party's polling was approximately 2.7 percent, well below the required threshold.

Despite internal friction, including anonymous opposition from party members regarding government propositions and high-profile departures such as Birgitta Ohlsson, the party saw a surge in support during the final stages of the election campaign. Polling rose from roughly 2.4 percent to over 5 percent, securing the party's place in the Riksdag.
