Simona Waltert defeats Petra Marčinko at WTA Cincinnati

Croatian tennis player Petra Marčinko was eliminated in the first round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati. She lost to Switzerland's Simona Waltert in three sets with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.

Marčinko initially took the first set after securing a break, but Waltert responded by winning four consecutive games to level the match. Despite several opportunities to break Waltert's serve in the second and third sets, Marčinko was unable to convert, allowing Waltert to secure the victory.
