Simone Mazzocchi poised to join Spezia as transfer nears completion

Twenty‑seven‑year‑old striker Simone Mazzocchi has given his consent to move from Cosenza to Serie B side Spezia. The clubs are negotiating a fee reported between €300,000 and €350,000, with the player’s current salary of €180,000 per season plus €40,000 in bonuses to be taken into account.

Spezia’s sporting director Guido Angelozzi has been handling the deal, while Cosenza’s newly appointed director Fabio Lucioni – a former protégé of Angelozzi at Frosinone – is overseeing the club’s side of the negotiation. Both officials cite a strong working relationship that dates back to earlier collaborations, and they see the transfer as a key piece in Spezia’s push to strengthen its attacking options.

Other Serie B clubs, including Empoli, Mantova, Catania, Pescara and Ravenna, had shown interest, but Spezia appears to be the frontrunner as talks intensify.
