Simone Mendes escapes Dubai hotel fire after departure

Brazilian singer Simone Mendes reported a narrow escape after a luxury hotel in Dubai's Palm Jumeirah caught fire hours after she and her family departed the location. The fire, which resulted in four injuries, was brought under control by the Dubai Civil Defense.

Mendes shared her relief on social media, noting that she left the United Arab Emirates before airports closed due to regional tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. While the fire occurred during a period of heightened military escalation in the Middle East, there has been no confirmed direct link between the hotel fire and regional missile strikes.
