Simone Rocha debuts Spring/Summer 2027 collection at London Fashion Week

Designer Simone Rocha presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection during London Fashion Week, held at the Old Bailey. The collection drew primary inspiration from Caravaggio’s painting ‘The Taking of Christ’, exploring themes of rediscovered beauty and romanticism within a stark, institutional setting.

The runway featured deep tones of blue, black, red, and purple, with hand-shaped floral motifs appearing on collars, jackets, and hoods. Notable aesthetic details included beaded eyebrow art designed by Thomas de Kluyver, which utilized colorful beads to create floral patterns on models' faces.

In addition to the Caravaggio influence, the collection included visual nods to the work of Frida Kahlo, specifically referencing her iconic self-portraits through maximalist floral headpieces and white ensembles.
