Simone Schipa evaluates Lecce prospects Esteban and Gorter

Simone Schipa, coach of the Lecce Primavera team, has provided insights into the development of two players who have transitioned from the youth squad to the first team: Paco Esteban and Olaf Gorter.

Schipa described Paco Esteban as a technically strong, atypical striker whose primary strength is attacking depth and scoring goals. While noting that Esteban was less involved in defensive phases during his time with the Primavera, Schipa observed a significant increase in his defensive sacrifice since joining the first team.

Regarding Olaf Gorter, Schipa highlighted the Dutch midfielder's technical ability, vision, and versatility in reading the game. He noted that Gorter dictates the tempo of play but suggested that if the player improves his defensive interpretation, he could evolve into a player comparable to Hjulmand.
