Simone Tebet considered for STF and Foreign Ministry roles

Former Minister Simone Tebet is being considered by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for a position on the Supreme Federal Court (STF) or as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Tebet, who previously led the Ministry of Planning and Budget, possesses a legal background including a master's degree in State Law.

President Lula has indicated an intention to appoint a woman to the STF within the next four years. Other potential candidates for judicial vacancies include STJ Minister Daniela Teixeira. The presidency faces several upcoming vacancies due to retirements, including those of ministers Luiz Fux and Cármen Lúcia.

Separately, Senator Daniella Ribeiro has denied reports regarding potential invitations to join Lula's cabinet, stating she has had no such discussions and remains focused on her legislative duties.
