Simone Thomalla opens up about relationship with René Merten

German actress Simone Thomalla has shared personal insights into her relationship with René Merten, a Berlin-based construction entrepreneur. After several high-profile breakups, including a long-term relationship with Silvio Heinevetter and a tragic end to her connection with Christoph Wagner in late 2024, Thomalla describes her current partnership as a source of great happiness.

Thomalla emphasized the importance of the freedom and support Merten provides. She noted that the relationship allows her to be herself without pressure and that Merten understands the demands of her acting career, including long filming periods. She highlighted that they do not need to spend every minute together to remain close, valuing the balance of togetherness and individual space.
