Simple Memo introduces Apple Intelligence-powered conversational notes

Yurika Co., Ltd. has introduced a new feature called ‘Conversational Memo’ to its iPhone application, Simple Memo. Utilizing Apple Intelligence, the feature allows users to organize their thoughts through voice dialogue. Instead of simply transcribing speech, the app generates short follow-up questions to help users elaborate on ideas, such as project proposals, work improvements, or reflections on reading.

To prioritize privacy, the question generation and memo formatting are processed on-device using Apple Intelligence models. The app does not send the memo content to external generative AI APIs. Once the dialogue is complete, users can review, edit, and confirm the generated text before saving it directly to their configured Obsidian vault.

The feature requires an iPhone compatible with Apple Intelligence running iOS 26 or later. While the conversational mode is designed for deep thinking and idea structuring, the app maintains traditional text and voice input methods for standard use.
