Simple recalls micellar cleansing water due to bacteria risk

Skincare brand Simple is recalling specific batches of its Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The recall affects 200ml, 400ml, and 730ml bottles due to the potential presence of bacteria that could cause eye inflammation in consumers.

Retailers including Tesco, Asda, and Superdrug have been notified. Affected customers are advised to stop using the product immediately. Tesco and Asda have stated that customers can return the affected batches to their stores for a full refund without a receipt. Alternatively, consumers can contact Unilever’s Consumer Careline for further guidance and refunds.

Simple confirmed that other products in its range are not affected by this issue and apologized for the concern caused by the recall.
