Simply Red announces Summer Funk '27 tour across UK and Europe
British soul-pop band Simply Red has announced their ‘Summer Funk ’27’ tour, scheduled for the summer of 2027 across the United Kingdom and Europe. Led by frontman Mick Hucknall, the tour follows the band’s 40th-anniversary celebrations held in 2025.
In the UK, the tour includes dates at various open-air and historic venues, such as London’s Gunnersbury Park, Halifax’s Piece Hall, Colchester Castle, and Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Many of these performances will feature special guests including Soul II Soul, Heather Small, and Lisa Stansfield.
European dates include stops in Portugal at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Croatia at the Pula Arena, and several locations in Italy, including Venice’s Piazza San Marco, Rome, Pompeii, Bari, and Lucca. The tour promises a high-energy setlist featuring the band’s greatest hits from their four-decade career, such as ‘Fairground’ and ‘Something Got Me Started’.
