Latin American music scene sees major concerts and tributes

Various musical performances and cultural events are taking place across the Caribbean and South America. In Santo Domingo, reggaeton artist Nicky Jam performed his Bohemio World Tour, while the pop duo Sin Bandera held a successful “Escenas Tour” concert at the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte, which included a marriage proposal during the show.

Electronic music fans in Santo Domingo are preparing for a performance by German DJ &ME of the Keinemusik collective at Playa Montesinos on October 31. Additionally, local artists Jean Luis Fortuna and Osman have recently held performances and released new music, respectively.

In Argentina, the group Música para Volar is bringing “Soda Sinfónico” to Mendoza, a symphonic reinterpretation of Soda Stereo’s work. Meanwhile, the “Septiembre Musical” festival in Tucumán will feature a production of “La Verbena de la Paloma.” In Mexico, Dominican singer Diomary La Mala performed at the Festival Mundial del Bolero, and the group Doble Vida is set to present a Soda Stereo tribute in Mexico City.
