German crime media: New TV seasons, films, and novels

Various German-language crime media updates include new television schedules and literary releases.

ZDF has announced the start of season 26 for the series ‘Die Rosenheim-Cops’, scheduled to air on Tuesdays at 19:25 starting October 6, 2026. The season will feature 24 new episodes. Additionally, the series ‘Die Chefin’ is airing older episodes from its 12th season, including the episode ‘Söhne’. The series ‘SOKO München’ is also featured in recent programming.

In cinema, the tenth film in the Eberhofer series, ‘Steckerlfischfiasko’, is currently showing, following the character Franz Eberhofer as he investigates a murder at a golf club.

In literature, Klarant Verlag has released new crime novels set in East Frisia. Sina Jorritsma’s ‘Nordseekutter’ follows investigators Thorsten Köhler and Gerrit Wolter in a case involving a murdered fugitive, while Stefan Albertsen’s ‘Ostfriesisches Gold’ features Commissioner Hilka Martens investigating a gold robbery and subsequent murders.
