Sinaloa announces tax discounts and Independence Day festivities

Sinaloa is preparing for Independence Day celebrations with both administrative incentives and large-scale public events. The Sinaloa State Tax Administration Service (SATES) has announced special discounts available from September 14 to 18 to assist citizens with various procedures.

Tax benefits include a 30% discount on permanent driver's licenses, a reduced rate of $2,000 pesos for registering out-of-state vehicles, and 50% discounts on ownership transfers, plate registrations, and motorcycle regularizations. Additionally, a 75% discount applies to fines and fees related to vehicle stickers and public service concessions. Due to the holiday on September 16, certain services will be available exclusively online.

In Culiacán, authorities have organized a major public celebration for the 'Grito de Independencia' on September 15. Governor Graciela Domínguez Nava will lead the ceremony at the Government Palace. The event is expected to draw over 20,000 people and will feature musical performances by 90’s Pop Tour and Alex Fernández. To support the crowd, officials are providing 50,000 bottles of water and free public transportation via 144 units across 48 routes.
