Sinaloa archers win three medals at World Archery México Championship 2026

The Sinaloa archery delegation secured three medals—one gold, one silver, and one bronze—at the World Archery México Championship 2026. The competition was held at the National Center for Sports Talent Development and High Performance (CNAR).

Rafael Aguilar and Jimena Ortiz won the gold medal in the Recurve Mixed Team Sub-18 category. Ailín Margarita Medina earned a silver medal in the Individual Compound category, while Jimena Ortiz also secured a bronze medal in the Women's Recurve Sub-18 individual event.

César del Ángel Jacobo González, president of the Sinaloa State Archery Association, noted that the seven participating athletes, five of whom are from Cosalá, demonstrated the growing competitive level of the sport within the state. He specifically highlighted Rafael Aguilar's performance, noting he is currently ranked among the top eight archers in the country.
