Sinaloa authorities conduct training to prevent sexual harassment and violence
Authorities in Sinaloa, Mexico, have launched training programs aimed at preventing sexual harassment and violence in various sectors. In Culiacán, the Secretariat of Women (SEMUJERES) provided training to members of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC). The initiative focuses on identifying sexual harassment and misconduct in workplaces to promote environments based on respect and dignity, particularly in sectors with high interaction between staff and clients.
In Guasave, the Municipal System for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA) initiated training for basic education school personnel. This program focuses on protocols for the prevention, detection, and response to child sexual violence, bullying, and child abuse. The training aims to provide educators with tools to identify warning signs and follow official legal routes to protect victims and ensure child safety within educational environments.
