Sinaloa distributes 40 small vessels to local fishers

The Sinaloa Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture has distributed 40 small vessels to fishers across the municipalities of Ahome, Guasave, Navolato, and Angostura. This initiative is part of the 2026 Fiscal Year Support Program for the Acquisition of Small Vessels, Marine Motors, and Infrastructure.

The state government has allocated 70 million pesos for this fiscal year, aiming to deliver a total of 526 marine motors and 526 small vessels to benefit 370 fishing and aquaculture production units. Flor Emilia Guerra Mena, the Secretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, stated that the program seeks to strengthen working conditions and support the livelihoods of families dependent on the fishing sector.
