Sinaloa Governor expands vehicle tax regularization program to 2022 models
Governor Yeraldine Bonilla of Sinaloa announced that the "Ponte al Corriente" program will resume on 3 August, now covering vehicles model 2022 and older. Eligible owners can settle all vehicle tax arrears with a single payment of 6,000 pesos, regardless of the total amount owed for fees, fines or interest.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that vehicles can circulate with up‑to‑date documentation, avoiding further accrual of charges. Applications can be made at state tax offices or through the Ciudadano Digital platform.
Bonilla highlighted that the expanded eligibility will allow more contributors to regularize their status, providing significant savings for the state's residents.
