Sinaloa implements sports talent trials and coaching updates
Sports development initiatives are underway in Sinaloa, Mexico, to enhance athlete training and talent identification. The Instituto Sinaloense de Cultura Física y el Deporte (ISDE) has conducted high-performance trials in Culiacán to prepare for the 2026-2027 sporting cycle. Approximately 85 athletes participated in evaluations covering disciplines such as baseball 5, wrestling, karate, athletics, boxing, basketball, and weightlifting.
Additionally, a training course for beach volleyball coaches is being held in Culiacán, led by Salvador González Arreola. A former coach of the Mexican National Team with experience across four Olympic Games, González Arreola is providing updated methodologies, including the integration of neuroscience, to help coaches prepare youth athletes for higher-level competition.
