Sinaloa joins regional workshop to drive energy transition

Sinaloa is strengthening its involvement in the regional energy transition agenda through participation in the Regional Collaboration Workshop for Energy Transition in the Gulf of California region. Organized by the Institute for Development, Energy and Environment (IDEA), the workshop includes representatives from Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, and Sinaloa.

Jesús Alexis Lara Meza, Director of Water and Energy for the Secretariat of Welfare and Sustainable Development (SEBIDES), represented Sinaloa at the event held in Tijuana. The workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and coordination between the four states to identify priority needs and explore collaborative opportunities for renewable energy projects.

Key topics of discussion include the utilization of natural energy sources, expanding electricity access to underserved communities, and identifying alternatives to strengthen energy supply security. The regional dialogue is intended to leverage technological developments and diverse perspectives to address shared energy challenges.
