Sinaloa launches Plataforma Violeta to train officials on gender equality and violence prevention
On May 12, 2026, the state government of Sinaloa signed an agreement to create the Plataforma Violeta, a digital tool that will train public servants in gender perspective, women's rights and the prevention of violence against women. Governor Yeraldine Bonilla Valverde presented the platform, emphasizing its role in strengthening professionalization, social sensitization and protective mechanisms for people at risk.
The platform, now operational, offers free courses, audiovisual materials and other resources aimed at officials, students, youth groups and the broader public. It covers topics such as gender basics, human rights, violence prevention, the Norma 046 standard and the construction of safe, inclusive spaces. Several state secretariats—including Education, Health, Fisheries and Culture—participated in its development, and the platform can be accessed through the official website.
