Sinaloa prosecutors probe multiple violent crimes, including Culiacán vehicle shooting
On the night of May 24, security forces in Culiacán, Sinaloa, responded to a gunfire incident in the Campo El 10 district. A white Ford Ranger was found riddled with bullet holes, its tires punctured, but no injuries or fatalities were reported. The vehicle was seized and the case remains under investigation.
The day before, the State Attorney's Office opened investigations into a series of violent events across Sinaloa. Two homicides were confirmed in the Montebello subdivision of Culiacán and the Progreso neighborhood of Mazatlán. In the municipality of Mocorito, authorities discovered two decomposed bodies on a rural road. Additional reports included three vehicle‑theft complaints and two forced‑disappearance complaints filed in the Central Region. The prosecutor’s office has pledged ongoing investigations and urged citizens to report crimes.
