Sinaloa to install 378 Universal Health Service clinics

Authorities in Sinaloa have launched the implementation of 378 new Universal Health Service (SUS) clinics to provide primary medical care to all residents, regardless of their social security status. This initiative, promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum, aims to bring healthcare services closer to local communities.

To facilitate this, 150 assemblies will be held across the state to form Health Committees for Wellbeing. These committees, composed of local residents, will be responsible for determining how allocated funds are used for infrastructure, space adaptation, and maintenance. Each clinic is expected to receive between 150,000 and 250,000 pesos based on specific local needs. The new clinics will primarily utilize existing facilities, such as health houses and medical dispensaries.
