Mazatlán tourism sector receives Mexico Host 2026 awards

The Sinaloa State Tourism Secretariat presented a series of recognitions in Mazatlán to honor tourism operators that met established quality criteria. Subsecretary Celia Jáuregui Ibarra, representing Tourism Secretary Mireya Sosa Osuna, awarded the “México Anfitrión 2026” distinction to the Hotel Viaggio Resort Mazatlán, alongside certificates from the National Tourism Registry (RNT) and official guide credentials.

Recipients included companies such as King David Company, Hotel Ibis Mazatlán, La Hamburguesía and others, as well as certified guides Carlos Eduardo Gasser Vargas, Ulises Ontiveros and two more. Jáuregui Ibarra emphasized, “Hoy no solo entregamos reconocimientos, credenciales y certificados; reconocemos el esfuerzo de empresas, prestadores de servicios y guías de turistas que han decidido prepararse, profesionalizarse y elevar sus estándares para brindar una mejor experiencia a quienes nos visitan.” The ceremony underscored the goal of enhancing Mazatlán’s competitiveness, sustainability and the overall image of Mexican tourism.
