Sindh High Court hears Mustafa Aamir murder case delay
During a hearing at the Sindh High Court regarding a request for a speedy trial in the Mustafa Aamir murder case, it was revealed that the relevant Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) is currently inactive because the term of the previous judge has expired.
Justice Iqbal Kalhoro questioned the lack of progress, noting that while defendants often request expedited trials, this case has faced significant delays. Additionally, a report from the jail superintendent indicated that the accused, Armaghan, has refused to accept court notices while in custody.
The court remarked that a lawyer cannot appear without their client's instructions if the client refuses to acknowledge legal notices. Consequently, the court has ordered new notices to be issued to the accused and adjourned the proceedings until October 13.
