Sindos hosts 27th International Festival of Youth Orchestras

The 27th International Festival of Youth Orchestras has commenced in Sindos, within the Delta Municipality. Running until August 29, the four-day event features approximately 500 young musicians and ten musical ensembles.

Participants represent Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Latvia. Under the theme ‘Music Unites Us’, the festival includes street parades through the neighborhoods of Delta Municipality and concerts extending toward the center of Thessaloniki.

The opening ceremony features the Sindos Concert Band, conducted by Miltos Polychronidis, alongside performers Rena Morfi, Giorgos Perin, and Stella Farmaki. The program incorporates soul and funk rhythms and orchestral music.
