Sinem Oruç wins silver at European Junior Judo Championships

Turkish national judoka Sinem Oruç won a silver medal in the women’s -70 kg category at the European Junior Judo Championships held in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Oruç, who competes for Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, secured her place in the final by defeating opponents from Greece, Finland, Russia, and the Netherlands. In the final match, she faced Chloe Jean of France, ultimately finishing the tournament as the European runner-up.

The championship featured approximately 400 judokas from 44 countries. Turkey was represented by a total of 16 athletes, consisting of 8 women and 8 men. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay congratulated Oruç, praising her discipline and perseverance.
